Dovetail Anchors: Masonry to Concrete Anchors
These anchors are manufactured from various materials. There are two basic types: The dovetail anchorage and the slotted anchorage.
| Dovetail stone anchors are manufactured from thicker raw material to give stronger bonding to the masonry unit. Finishes plain, hot dip galvanized, and stainless steel. |
| Dovetail Masonry Anchors – manufactured to lock into dovetail anchor slot. Normally made from 16 gauge sheet metal. Available in lengths from 1 ½” to 12” beyond face of concrete. Thickness 16 ga., 14 ga., 12 ga., Finishes available mill galvanized, and stainless steel. |
| Dovetail Triangles – Dovetail triangles are an effective means of tying masonry units to concrete columns or wall. Their wire leg when embedded into the mortar joint gives a larger mass of mortar to bond the masonry wall to the concrete unit. |
| Dovetail Anchor Slot – Dovetail anchor slot is cast into the exterior form work. It assures a dependable permanent anchorage for stone and masonry to concrete. Available in 20, 22, 24, 26 gauge mill galvanized metal or in copper, stainless steel or zinc alloy finishes. |
